A Final Love 💗

A fitting title because 1. It is the last kind of love I will touch upon and B. It is a culmination of love.

Agape love is the highest form of love. It is selfless. It is a spiritual love…the kind of love that emanates from God.🌅 (And how awesome is it to receive this message on a Sunday, a day of worship for many.)

So, are we born with Agape love or is it taught? Yes and yes.

We were created with a higher self. (Spirit) and a lower self (flesh). Our higher self seeks a relationship with God. Our lower self adapts us to life.

Because God has given us free will and the power to choose, we will sometimes choose the path to least resistance.

“The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” 1 Corinthians 2:14 NIV

"For the flesh desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the flesh. They are in conflict with each other, so that you are not to do whatever you want." Galatians 5:17 NIV

Agape love may for some, be the most difficult to achieve but it is possible.

Prayer and meditation will uplift your spirit and propel it to rule over flesh.

Your spirit creates purpose bigger than yourself. It motivates you to pass kindness on to others.

Allow me to leave you with this verse from 1 John 4:18 (ISV).

There is no fear where love exists. Rather, perfect love banishes fear, for fear involves punishment, and the person who lives in fear has not been perfected in love. 💖💗💓💝
