HOW OUR BUSINESS WAS NAMED​

Retta came up with the name Raw Necessities thirty years ago when she first began to make jewelry.  She would use anything she could get her hands on... seashells, wood and metal scraps, even broken pieces of glass.

HOW IS THE NAME RELEVANT TODAY?​

Retta still loves the beauty of natural stones, but she infuses them with curated materials. "Raw" also implies a feeling, or the energy Retta puts into her work.
